Hans Jensen is the recipient of numerous honors and awards, including the Jacob Gades Prize, a Danish Ministry of Cultural Affairs Grant for Musicians, Copenhagen Music Critics Prize of Honor, and Artist International Competition in New York. He has also been named Outstanding Studio Teacher of the Year by the Illinois chapter of the American String Teachers Association and was granted a U.S. Presidential Scholar Teacher Recognition Award by the U.S. Department of Education. Jensen has performed as a soloist with the Copenhagen Symphony, Danish Radio Orchestra, Irish Radio Orchestra, and Basel Symphony Orchestra and is a faculty member at the Meadowmount School of Music. His students have won prizes in numerous national and international competitions. Jensen studied at the Juilliard School with Leonard Rose and Channing Robbins and pursued private studies with Pierre Fournier, also appearing in his master classes.
