Thomas Hadley, New World Symphony

Originally from the Boston area, Thomas Hadley attended Boston University and studied for two summers at the Tanglewood Music Center. Following his graduation he joined the New World Symphony under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas and performed with this organization for two years. Next, he accepted a position as a horn player with the Florida Philharmonic Orchestra and remained for twelve seasons. During his tenure with this orchestra, he became active in the musicians’ association eventually becoming the Orchestra Personnel Manager. In 2002, he was named Orchestra Personnel Manager of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra where he remained for four years. Currently he is the Dean for Admissions, Alumni and Fellow Services at the New World Symphony. Additionally, he has served as a guest lecturer at the North Carolina School for the Arts and has served as adjunct professor at both the New World School for the Arts and Miami-Dade College. He has performed with the Boston and Baltimore Symphonies, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Empire Brass and has recorded on the Klavier and Harmonia Mundi record labels.
